Melissa, who blogs at 320 Sycamore, had a link party recently. We were supposed to offer up a quick decorating or craft idea for under $10. Well, I was slow to think of something and missed the deadline but I kept thinking about the challenge. Then, the Aha Moment came!
I purchased this acrylic frame for under $5.
I had trouble finding a frame at the dollar store. They usually carry them there; maybe you'll have better luck than I did. You need a frame that has one side closed and can stand up by itself like an "L" shape.
I put a recipe card in the frame and used the bottom side to hang from the cabinet bottom. Since the top is capped off, the card doesn't slip out and the acrylic keeps the recipe clean since I'm a messy cook. And bonus, the recipe is eye level. : )
I found I could also flip the frame around and hang it from my vent hood. A wonderful thing, when the recipe calls for stirring continuously and adding ingredients at the same time.
I hope my Aha Moment makes your kitchen duty a little easier : )
Now, let's get cooking!
