31 Drawers of Change

Hey! 

We all have them.  Come on admit it... we don't show them to the world. 

Some of them are stuffed so full you can hardly get them shut.  Others are filled with items you have no idea what to do with but you don't want to get rid of them. 

A challenge was issued from the blogging community to post each day on a specific topic of change for the 31 days of October.  

Ok, I'll admit it, I'm a little anxious about getting a post done each day but I'm excited about the challenge of meeting it and cleaner drawers! 

 So for the next 31 days, I will be posting on 31 Drawers of Change.  I'm going to bring what I've hidden into the light and expose my drawer secrets!  Each day, one messy drawer in my house will be brought to order. 

 So here goes....

Drawer #1

I'm starting with my makeup drawer.  I think, perhaps like others, I want only to show the polished and cleaned up side of myself.  I try hard to cover up the flaws, hide the imperfections and hope no one will notice what is not pretty underneath. 

By being more open to showing the messy part of me that I try so hard to hide, I believe will allow others to know and accept me for who I am ....  imperfections and all.  

So out with the stuff that isn't good, is good but just not me, and in with a cleaner drawer that holds the things that help me show a pretty .... and authentic face to the world. 

 I'm anticipating that the next 31 days won't be just about cleaner drawers but will also be about a cleaner, quieter spirit.  I hope you'll join me.
